Hi everyone...!
Here we are with the sixth episode of the story disguised. Well this guy, Sudheeksh knows how to hold his audience...!

Episode6:
“A hug?!” Pradeep exclaimed after hearing the outing story of Sandesh and Adhya.
“Yeah!!” Sandesh’s mind was still circling that moment even though they were in crowded cafeteria. Its effects were still on him.
“Did you kiss her, then?”
“WHAT?! No!!”
“You should’ve, Sandy. You like her, she likes you. It was the perfect moment for it”
“C’mon, Pradeep. It was just a casual hug. That too was very quick. It lasted for not more than two seconds”
“A hug is a hug. No matter it was for two seconds or two hours”
“Hmmm”
“So, when’ll you propose her?”
“Propose?! It’s too early for it, bro”
“Listen, Sandy. Her actions have clearly shown that she likes you too. But, no girl will propose a boy, even though her love’s so deep. They’ll be waiting for the moment when the boy himself expresses his feelings for her. They might act that they never thought like that in the beginning. But, they’ll accept for sure”
“Ohk”
“So, take her somewhere and express your feelings for her”
“Take her where?”
“I don’t know. You think of it. Some calm place which even she likes”
“Hmmm”
“Don’t wait for a moment for long, bro. you might never get it. You’ll have to make that moment happen by yourself, instead”
“Yes, sir. Whatever you say”
They took a last sip of their coffee and got up to leave. When they came out, Pradeep spoke again, “Hey, who’ll you bring for the year end party?”
“Ah, no one”
“Okay. Be there as early as possible”
“Sure”
Then, there was silence. As far as Sandesh knew, Pradeep would never be silent for a second. He realized something’s bothering Pradeep. But, he too remained silent, thinking Pradeep would speak out any moment about his thoughts. After a minute, Pradeep opened his mouth.
“Sandy?”
“Yeah?”
“You sure, you guys didn’t kiss?!”
                                           *   *   *   *
The year-end celebration party was held at Karnataka exhibition Centre. With vast space and away from the city, they had arranged a perfect year end party for their employees so that they forget their work stress at least for a day and enjoy the moment.
Sandesh was waiting for the cab to travel to the party destination. Cab arrived at 03:30pm. As he got in, Nidhi greeted him. But, Adhya wasn’t there.
“Where’s Adhya?”
“She said she’ll come around 6. She has some work it seems”
“Okay”
Adhya hadn’t replied to any of his messages and hadn’t answered his phone calls from the previous evening. She was smiling as usual while returning home. Sandesh wondered what happened to her.
They reached the party destination at 04:45pm. All credit to Bangalore traffic. Bangalore’s the only place where distance is measured in time taken to reach that place. No matter, you’ve the top horse powered engine; you’ll have to crawl like a snail in the traffic. Well, as they reached, after some security checking, they were handed with area map of the event site and liquor coupons. Without liquor, any party’s boring and useless, youth say. The three coupons were given only for name sake. As the party continues, they would give away tins without any coupons. Consuming alcohol has become a trend in present generation. If you fill a huge room with beer and let a present generation youth, by next few hours he would’ve drank whole of it and would still be licking the floor. There’s no limit to their needs.
Coming back to the story, Sandesh and Nidhi went in after collecting all those things. As Nidhi saw Rishab near the entrance, she ran and jumped over him, hugging and kissing his cheek. Sandesh smiled watching the crazy couple. He then went searching for Pradeep. He tried calling Adhya on her phone once again. But, she didn’t answer. He saw Pradeep near the temporarily setup bar counter, enquiring when would they start giving away the tins. He was with a blonde. She was holding him by his arm. As he saw Sandesh, Pradeep waved and rushed toward him.
“Hey, bro. you look nice”
“Hahha!! Thanks. You look great too”
“Meet my darling, Anitha” then, there was mutual exchange of ‘hi’ and fixed smiles.
“Did you get the coupons?”
“Yes”
“They’ll start after 7”
“Okay”
Anitha pulled Pradeep by his arm and whispered something to him. He then turned and spoke to Sandesh, “Bro, we’ll be around here. So...”
“Yeah, sure. You guys have fun”
Then, they vanished. Sandesh was left alone. Everyone was busy with their partner. Sandesh’s watch showed it was 05:15pm.
“Are you enjoying the party, Sandesh?” a matured male voice broke his chain of thoughts. He turned and saw Mr.Ashutosh standing behind him with his wife and child.
“Yes, sir. Somewhat”
“Well, meet my family. This’s my wife, Sahana. And, this cute pie is my daughter, Prapthi”
“Namasthe” Sandesh joined his hands in a formal namasthe. And, he came down on his knees to greet the four year old girl who was standing close to her father, holding his hand tightly.
“Hello there”. That little girl gave him a shy smile.
“What’s your name?”
“Paapti”, she pronounced her name in her own style.
“Oh!! That’s such a nice name. Does little Paapti want an ice-cream?” he spoke in a childish accent. She looked up at her father. Ashutosh smiled and said, “Go on, baby”. She came towards Sandesh hesitatingly and Sandesh lifted her up in taking her in his arms. By this sudden moment, that innocent creature’s face turned pale. She was about to scream. Then, Sahana spoke, pacifying her child
“Oh! It’s okay, sweetheart. Uncle’s gonna get you a bigg ice-cream and then he’ll bring you back to mamma, okay?”
That convinced Prapthi to some extent. Sandesh took her towards the food stalls. There were never ending rows of stalls with varieties of food. It was enough for the whole Silicon city residents to hog. Sandesh went near an ice-cream counter and took a Kulfi-stick, chosen by Prapthi. And then, he took her back to her parents.
“You seem to be alone. Why don’t you join us, Sandesh?” Ashutosh asked, noticing Sandesh roaming alone.
“Sure, sir. Thank you”
Sandesh joined them and they walked around for some time. They sat under a tree to rest for a while and continued to talk. All the way through the conversation, Ashutosh kept praising Sandesh in front of his wife for his work efficiency and dedication. Sandesh could say nothing but just smile. When it was 6pm, Sandesh separated himself from Ashutosh and his family. He hurried towards the entrance to welcome Adhya. Sandesh was growing restless every minute. He repeatedly checked time and kept staring at the road.

“Waiting for someone?” A cute, melodious voice asked from behind. He turned and saw Adhya standing behind him. She was wearing a dark brown mini-skirt and white full sleeved shirt. Her hair was left untied as usual which was moving with the wind dramatically. Her pink, juicy lips displayed a mischievous smile. Her fragrance hypnotized Sandesh. He kept staring at her without responding to her question.

Hi Everyone and I'll start with aplogising Sudhee. He'd sent me the episode on sunday itself, but could'nt post it.

As usual this episode is greatly potrayed and what else, just read on...!

Episode5:
It was a Sunday. Sandesh would usually spend an entire
holiday lying lazily on his bed. But, today he was jumping around his room; getting ready to go out with Adhya. They had exchanged their numbers and a lot more text messages. Texting
Adhya had become the top most priority in Sandesh’s daily time-table. Smartphones are such wonderful things. You’ll be locked inside your room, but the whole world will be wide open in your palm. Once I heard someone say, “This world is full of smart phones and stupid people”. How true!! We behave as if we can’t live without our cellphones. And present youths; they just sit inside their room, chat, chat and chat. Facebook, WhatsApp, Hike... they made life so complicated. “We might live without oxygen for hours, but we can’t live without our cellphones for even a fraction of a second”, they say. Well, let’s come back to the point. Sandesh kept texting Adhya. First he asked about her work in the company, then about her, later about her family. And when there was nothing left to ask, he texted anyway. He was obsessed with her. On the previous day, during the conversation, Adhya had said that she’s afraid of darkness and of imaginary ghosts.
Wow!! Then, I’ll take you to a horror movie and just sit and watch your expressionJ”.
Sandesh had thrown a stone at a tree; just a wild throw. But, it did make a fruit fall.
Oh, you will be completely entertained” she had replied normally. Sandesh put himself to work. He browsed the internet and had found a theater nearby that played a horror movie. He then replied to her message,
Okay then, tomorrow 10am show at Swagath Garuda. We’ll go to Annabelle
What!? Are you serious?”
Of course, I’m
It’s in Jayanagar 4th T block, right?”
 “Yup
Done. I’ll be there on timeJJJJ
It was fixed. Sandesh didn’t sleep entire night. He kept dreaming about the things that might happen during the movie. He kept looking at the time every now and then, wishing if he could fast forward it. Time’s so cruel. It flies in high speed jets when you want it to slow down a bit and it crawls like a snail when you want it to pick up speed a bit. Uncontrollably, he got up and started getting ready. He changed his dress innumerable times till he felt he looked nice and decent. He was out of his house in a flash. Savita wondered what happened to her. Before she could open her mouth, Sandesh was running on the streets, stopping auto-rickshaws to reach his destination. He reached the mall at 08:30am. After waiting for a while, he called Adhya to check where she was. She replied in a sleepy voice, “Why’re you there so early, Sandesh? I woke up just now. I’ll be there soon”. Now he realized that he was early; too early that they hadn’t even opened the front door. He roamed around without any other thoughts, but just of Adhya. He simply went up and down the stairs to kill time. But, the mischievous time never listens to anyone. It plays its part very well. When they opened INOX’s ticket counter, Sandesh got in the queue to buy tickets. There were about ten people standing ahead of him in the queue. He wondered where they came from as he hadn’t noticed much people around before. How could he? He was lost in thoughts. His phone beeped with a text message from Adhya,
I’m hereJJJJ
He separated himself from the crowd and rushed down to join his angel. He almost jumped off the last few steps. She was at the entrance by that time. She was wearing a sky blue coloured T-shirt and a dark blue Levi’s. Her hair was left untied which was flying slowly with the wind. She smiled and waved at Sandesh as she saw him. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Sandesh stood there, watching her. He felt like hugging and kissing her. But, his body showed no movement. His hands wanted to embrace the beautiful lady standing in front of him. But, his mind didn’t support the idea.
“Hey” was all he could say.
“Hey, handsome. Sorry I’m late”
“You’re right on time” and then he was speechless.
“We’re already late. Shall we keep moving?” Adhya asked breaking the silence.
“Yeah, sure”
They head towards the lift. Outside, standing near the stairs, were three men, smoking cigarettes. On seeing this Sandesh became alert. He knew Adhya don’t like the smell of it. Even he himself didn’t like it. Smoking is such a stupid and harmful habit. People suck smoke and blow it out. If they don’t want to swallow what they take in, why on the earth do they do it? They’ve printed with bold letters on the very packet, SMOKING CAUSES CANCER, which people neglect easily. Perhaps, they’re following the saying, “don’t judge by the cover” so deeply. If asked a chain smoker, he’ll say, “We all die one or the other day. Let me enjoy my life”. Well, of course everyone die. If while walking, a snake bites, then it’s normal. I mean, death is an unexpected guest. But, smoking is like dancing in front of the snake shouting, “Bite me, bite me”. Seriously, quit smoking. At least for the sake of exempting the whole world from watching those long advertisements they play before any movie in a theater which describes annoyingly the effects of smoking.
Grrr!! Where was I? Oh yes!!
So, Sandesh escorted Adhya safely into the lift. The lift was already crowded. Most of them were college students. They were making fun of some politicians; mimicking and laughing loudly. When in presence of some beautiful girls, their drama grew more and more. Sandesh kept glaring at them, like he’s prepared to eat them raw and was thinking from which part he should begin. When the lift’s door opened, he held Adhya’s hand and moved slowly out of the lift, as if she’s a nuclear bomb and will blast by the touch of any other male. He bought the tickets and took her inside the theater. The theater was very less crowded. There were only countable people. The movie began. Hollywood people know how to scare the hell out of people and give them their money’s worth. Their concept, presentation, audio and video effects everything work extraordinarily well in stealing the hearts of the people. Sandesh’s eyes were on Adhya from the beginning of the movie till the end. He could see her face clearly even in that darkness. She was closing her eyes half with her both hands. She also held Sandesh’s hand a couple of times in fear. After this continuing 3-4 times, Sandesh grew courageous and placed his palm over hers’. She turned towards him; smiled. Then their fingers locked tightly! After that, Sandesh’s mind was all around it. He was dancing inside. He kept dreaming till the movie ended. Sandesh was feeling hungry. He had not eaten anything since morning.
“Hungry?”
“Yeah, a lot”
“Come. Let’s go to the food court then”
Sandesh ordered veg sandwiches and apple milk shakes for both of them as insisted by Adhya. She even said, “If you want a different thing, just change the order”. But, Sandesh had denied saying, “No. It’s fine. I love apple milk shakes”. Actually, he hated it to the core. It’s strange how love changes an individual. You do things you don’t want to even try just because your partner likes it. Things involved with love can’t be expressed in words. It can only be felt from heart and can only be shared with the silent connection of hearts. After ordering, they sat at a nearby table. Adhya spoke up breaking the silence, “Today was fun”
“Yeah. I enjoyed it a lot too; watching your face”
“My face?!”
“Ya! I meant to say, your expressions during the movie”
“I had told you that I’m afraid of these GHOSTS and all. I don’t know how I’ll sleep for a week. You’ll have to keep my mind diverted till I fall asleep”
“With pleasure”
Their order arrived at the table. Both of them were hungry enough to finish it in the next 10 minutes. They sat there talking for some more time. Then Adhya said suddenly, “Shall we go? I remembered some work”
“Yeah. Sure”, Sandesh replied half-heartedly, controlling the sadness her words caused. They walked down the steps to the exit. Sandesh was following her slowly and silently, still wanting to spend a bit more time with her. He helped her find an auto-rickshaw. She turned to look at him before boarding. Sandesh was very sad. But, his face displayed a small smile, just for her. Then, she came close to him, leaned forward, slid her arms around him, gave a small, quick hug and left. Sandesh stood there, his mouth opened in amaze. He played that moment back and fro for several minutes in his mind. He was about to lose his balance. But, then he managed and sat down. The hug was quick and small but its effect on Sandesh was long lasting. It’ll take very long for him to recover. So, let’s take a break here, shall we?

Episode4:

“Sandy!! What happened, bro?” Pradeep was standing right next to Sandesh and Adhya was standing behind him.
“Huh?! To whom?”
“To you, dumbo!! I’ve been waving at you from the entrance. But, you didn’t react. You remained frozen”
“Ah!! Nothing. Just stressed out due to work load” Sandesh’s eyes frequently rolled towards Adhya. He could see her face clearly from this close. He felt he might lose his conscious anytime. But, Pradeep kept him wide awake.
“Hmmm. Well, you remember this blonde? You took first phase of her interview. She got through all the process and got selected. She reported today. I was passing by her team chamber and I felt something pulling me back! And, when I looked back, WOW!! It was like...” as he met Sandesh’s ‘Don’t you dare start flirting with this girl’ look, Pradeep fell silent.
“Ms. Adhya, welcome to Microsoft” Sandesh greeted her.
“Thank you, sir. I’m happy to be...”
“Sandesh”
“Pardon?”
“Call me Sandesh. No SIR and all. You’re a part of this company now. That makes us colleagues and friends. So, no more formalities”
“Sure, Sandesh”
“Well, we were going to the café. Care to join us?”
“Oh!! I’d love to. But, they’ve assigned some work. So, I’m afraid I can’t accompany you guys. I’ll join you guys for lunch, if it’s okay with you”
“It’s okay. Lunch’s fine. Carry on with your work”
“See ya” she gave a cute smile, turned and went away. But, Sandesh was staring at the empty corridor where she had disappeared.
“Nice choice, bro!!” Pradeep shouted as he shook Sandesh’s shoulder violently.
“What choice?”
“You think you can hide it from me?”
“What’re you talking about man?”
“I know you like her, man. She’s pretty and she’s wonderful. You both make a good couple!!”
“C’mon, Pradeep. Don’t talk like an idiot”
“Idiot?! Don’t tell me you weren’t checking her out”
“DUDE!! Shut up. Don’t make up things” Sandesh was trying hard to divert the topic. But, Pradeep would never let it go that easily.
“What?! It’s you who’s making things up”
“Just let it go bro”
“Not a chance. You must tell me. INDIA WANTS TO KNOW”
“Who do you think you’re? Arnab Goswami?”
“I’m your best buddy, bro”
Sandesh remained silent. Pradeep continued, “You may say that a hundred times that you don’t like her. But, it was clearly visible in your eyes. Your face was beaming seeing her. You didn’t even notice me; you were immersed in her thoughts”
“I was just tired due to working for long hours”
“You know what, Sandy? You’re a terrible liar. And, by now, even Adhya might be aware that you’re in love with her”
“REALLY!?” Sandesh was stunned to hear this.
“Hahha!! Gotcha!!”
“Shut up, Pradeep” Sandesh could no longer hold his feelings away from Pradeep. There was a smile on the edge of his lips which Pradeep noticed.
“So, tell me everything about it” Pradeep said as he dragged a chair close to Sandesh and got ready to hear a romantic story.
“About what?”
“Stop being such a jerk, man!! I know you like her. So, no more acting. Just tell me about it”
“Well, it’s a long story”
“I’ve all the time in the world”
Then Sandesh narrated everything to Pradeep, staring from the moment he saw her in the bus stop till he took her interview. As Sandesh finished his story, Pradeep jumped up and shouted, “Aha!! My brother’s in love!!” and all the eyes in that room were on Pradeep and Sandesh for few minutes. One of the good things in MNCs is that after spending hours in front of computers, talking to those machines knowing they would never reply; even the weirdest thing is treated normal. So, they all ignored Pradeep’s action and got busy with their work.
“Will you stop shouting?! Sit down, Pradeep”
“Sorry, bro. I couldn’t help it”
“Someone might get heart attack by your sudden expression of feelings, dude! Learn to control it”
“Yes, Mr. Sandesh. Only someone with a heart, not you. You’ve lost it already”
“Hmmm”
“When will you tell her?”
“Tell her what?”
“Tell her that you love her. What else, dumbo?”
“Easy boy!! It’s just beginning. I can’t just hurry to her and propose her all of a sudden”
“Early bird gets the worm. If you won’t, someone else will do it, for sure”
“Early bird might get the worm. But, late worm gets to live. I’ll do it when time’s right”
“Whatever! You owe me a big treat. If I had taken that interview, you would’ve lost a big opportunity of spending that wonderful moment with her”
“Sure” They were back to work eventually. In the middle of the work, Pradeep exclaimed, “Damn!! I can’t believe you’re in love, bro!! I always thought that you’re born to work, nothing else”
                                           *   *   *   *
“So, how’s your first day at new office?” Pradeep had asked to break the silence between them. He can’t stand long silences. The trio, Sandesh, Adhya and Pradeep had gone out for lunch. Sandesh sat opposite to Adhya, Staring at her face now and then, ready to get lost in her thoughts. Pradeep sat next to Sandesh. His work was to keep Sandesh’s feet rooted in the present world.
“It’s good. My team’s completely open minded and a lot friendly. They’re helping me learn the work much easily”
“Hmmm”
“Why’s our Sandesh silent all of a sudden?”
Hearing his name from the lady he love, Sandesh startled. Pradeep replied to her trying to give Sandesh some time to recover, “He’s stressed. This new project is sucking his soul out. Ashutosh sir made him in charge of this project. So, it keeps switching his moods” Then he signaled Sandesh to talk. Sandesh thought for a second, framed his words clearly, making sure they doesn’t contain words like I LOVE YOU or WILL YOU MARRY ME. He then spoke for the first time, “Are you enjoying work? I mean, are there any problems?”
“Nah! No problems. Work’s great. I’m learning many things here”
“How do you travel? Are you getting a cab?”
“Yes. They found me a seat with my team mate, Nidhi”
“Oh!! Great!! Even I’m on the same cab” Sandesh was excited about it. The thought of travelling with Adhya everyday made him jump off his seat.
“Lovely” was all she said.
Then there was long silence. They finished their lunch and left for office. On their way back to office, Sandesh was walking behind Adhya, as if he was under her spell. He looked like that pug which follow a small boy wherever he goes, in one of the old advertisement of Hutch network. And, the song filled his world, “You and I, in this beautiful world... Green grass, blue sky... In this beautiful world...”
Sandesh left early as his team mates, Harish and Siddharth said they’ll carry forward the project. It was their turn of working late night. Sandesh was waiting near his cab for his co-passengers, for Adhya to be in specific. The transport department had replaced that old Tata Indica with Toyota Etios. Ramu-dada was excited to drive that new car. He kept explaining the specifications of that car to Sandesh which all went passed over his head. Etios or Audi, it made no difference to Sandesh. Whichever the vehicle maybe, he’s travelling with Adhya. After waiting for half an hour, he noticed his angel coming out of the office building. She was talking with Nidhi and laughing out loud. That sight made Sandesh’s heart skip a couple of beats. As they approached, Nidhi noticed Sandesh.
“Hey, Sandy!! You’re early”
“Ya. Harish and Siddharth took over. So, we left early”
“I believe you’ve met Adhya?”
“Yes, we did meet”
“Alright then. Let’s find our ride home”
“Here it is”
“WOW!! They changed it at last”
“Yup”
“Let’s go home then” Nidhi hurried to the back seat, dragging Adhya along with her. Sandesh took front seat with the driver. Throughout the way, Nidhi and Adhya kept chatting and giggling, alternatively. If you leave two women in a room to sit and talk for an entire year, there will still be many things left out to talk for them. Only god knows what they talk. Grrr... Well, even he may not!!
Sandesh was looking at Adhya through rare mirror. Adhya had noticed it a couple of times. Whenever their eyes met, Sandesh turned his face away swiftly. After making sure she’s involved back in the talk with Nidhi, he continued to look her through the mirror.

“Sandesh bhayya, aren’t you getting down?” asked Ramu-dada. Their cab had stopped in front of Sandesh’s home. But, Sandesh was too busy watching Adhya that he forgot it was his stop. He got down halfhearted. Nidhi and Adhya waved him bye and the cab disappeared. Sandesh was now standing alone on the footpath; his eyes fixed on the road, thinking his dear darling might come back running and give him a tight hug. Well, it happens only in movies. After waiting for long minutes, he walked into his house slowly; lost in his dreamland.

Here is the third part of the story disguised. Read it as the author, Sudheeksh, continues his wonderful story...!

Episode-3:

Sandesh was in his dreamland that entire day. His body was in the office. But, his mind was still circling around Adhya. Ashutosh had been telling him, “Mr.Sandesh, you seem lost” uncountable times. His words were in effect only for few minutes. Then Sandesh was back in his dreamland.
“Poor fellow!! Might be stressed due to his work load”, Ashutosh had thought. So, he let Sandesh be himself. Sandesh’s mother had called him in the noon and had enquired when he would return from office. Usually, he wouldn’t receive her calls. She keeps annoying him for one or the other thing and tries to act like a good mother, as he thought. But, today it was a different. Even she felt that Sandesh isn’t paying any attention to her words. But, she was glad that at least he answered her call. Just before his duty was done, Nidhi asked him to check on the cab. As he dialed his cellphone, after ringing for few seconds Ramu-dada answered in his frustrated tone, “I can’t pick you two today. They said they would arrange something for you to travel home. Just call them and enquire”.
Sandesh then called the transport department and asked whether they’re getting any cab replacing the one broke down in the morning.
“I’m sorry, sir. All cabs are fully occupied. I’m afraid you’ll have to find some other mode of transportation” replied the voice on the other end in a hurry and hung up. He replied it to Nidhi. When it was time for them to leave for home, Nidhi told him that Rishab will be dropping her almost near her home. So, Sandesh had to travel alone. Sandesh then thought, “I’ll have to get a wonderful bike. Then, I can pick and drop and roam anywhere with Adhya”. People usually say, “A man in love is no different than a lunatic”. How true!! Just a hi, 20 minutes talk and a hand shake, WHOOP!! He was in love!! And he was thinking and dreaming everything that might happen once she’s with him. I say, if you want to lose your mind and become completely mad at very short time, you can simply ask god, “Grant me a crush”. And when he grants you that boon, it’ll do the rest!! Well, it’s a wonderful feeling though.
Buses will be completely packed in such peak hours. So, he decided to take an auto-rickshaw. It took two hours to reach him home. As soon as he entered, he head straight to his room. He had noticed an elderly man sitting in the living room, on the sofa in his kurtha-pyjama talking to his mother. He wasn’t concerned about it. All he heard was his mother saying, “I’ll talk to him and let you know tomorrow”. He went inside, latched the room door and fell on the bed. Sleep embraced him in no time. And, even in sleep, he was dreaming about Adhya.
“Wake up Sandu!! Eat something and then sleep”, Savita was trying to wake him up with repeated bangs on the door.
“Okay, okay!! I’m wide awake. Are you trying to break that door?!” Sandesh yelled in response.
“Come down soon. I’m preparing your favorite Alu-paratha. Come and have it before it gets cold”.
He was very hungry. After hearing the name of his favorite dish, it grew bigger. He rushed to the bathroom, took bath and within a fraction of second he was at the dining table. He started feasting over Alu-paratha with masala dahi. What a combination!! Even after he was full, he couldn’t stop himself from licking his fingers. Savita was watching her son enjoying dinner, from kitchen. She was happy looking him satisfied. Just as he finished eating, she came near him with a bundle of photos and placed it on the table where he can see them clearly.
“What’s this?”
“Photos…of some girls. They are searching for a match”
“Sure. I’ll let you know if I find anyone”
“Don’t you start the drama now. Padiyarji brought them for you. Just go through them and select someone you like”
“Okay. I’ll select”, he replied calmly and returned to his room, latched the door and slept again.
Sandesh’s father came home at 11pm. He noticed Savita sitting in a chair, her eyes glued onto the television. But, she wasn’t paying any attention to any of those serial dramas which she always adored. She was somewhat startled to see Shankar standing near the door. She recovered quickly and smiled.
“You left the door open”
“Yes. I was expecting you”. She continued after a small pause, “Go wash your face. I’ve made Alu-paratha”.
He came in undoing his tie and asked in a concerned voice, “Did he eat?”
“Oh!! He feasted on it. It’s his favorite, remember?”
“Hmmm”
“He slept as soon as he finished eating. He might be very tired”
“Hmmm”, he was thinking of his son, sitting on the sofa.
“Are going to take bath?”
“Yes, yes. I was going to” he replied as he rose. He returned after the bath. By that time, dinner was waiting for him on the table along with his wife. They started dinner as he sat down. After a while, he looked at his wife and asked her, “What happened?”
“Huh?!” sudden break in the silence startled her.
“You seem upset”
“Nothing... just...”
“I noticed it as I entered. And I’m watching you since then. You’re lost in thoughts. And I know it’s bothering you. Tell me what happened?”
She sighed deeply and replied, “Its Sandesh. He’s...”
“Sandesh?! What happened to him?”
“I showed him some photos. Padiyarji had brought them in the noon. And he...”
“Savita, why do you keep doing this? You know he don’t want to get married now”
“But, as parents, it’s our responsibility”
“He’s not that old as you think”
“Old? He started working 2 years ago. Still, he’s single. If not now, when will he get married?”
In my country, as soon as you get a job, you should get married. People will back off when it’s their turn for marriage. But, as they grow old, have kids and as they grow up, they start forcing them to get married as soon as they think their children got settled. Even the oldest person in the family’s final death wish will be watching you getting married and then breath their last!!
“Why’re you hanging onto that old custom, Savita? Besides, you do know he won’t agree at any cost. He’ll get married when he feels he’s ready for it. Why do you keep poking him with that and start a fight? Stop it all and...”
“He didn’t fight”
“Huh?! Then why are you worried?”
“I’m worried because he didn’t start a fight. In fact, he didn’t talk anything about it. Just said, ‘I’ll select’ and went away. Every time I came up with this concept, he used to shout till his voice reached the sky. But, today, NOTHING!!”
Parents always worry about one or the other thing about you. They get tensed if you don’t talk and even if you talk a lot, if you don’t sleep and even if you always sleep, if you stay inside home a whole day or if you return at midnight.
“Savita, he gets tired after working a whole day. That too after an hour’s travel drains his energy. He’ll be exhausted. He needs rest. That’s why he didn’t pay any attention to your words and remained silent. What’s there to worry about it? Be practical. Stop worrying about such silly matters. You don’t even know what you did in that tension”
“What did I do?!”
“You ate my paratha!!”
There was a long laugh. She felt much better now.

Sandesh was busy with his office work from past few days. This new project was sucking out his time and energy. His team of six had to finish it soon. They had made three groups of two partners each among themselves and had planned to work late night, one team a day, so that they can get a better pace.

It was 10am. Sandesh was deep in his work. Suddenly, he felt an urge to stand. He stood and faced their lobby entrance. All of a sudden, everything stopped!! His eyes remained fixed on what he saw without a blink. There she was, walking with the wind, moving slowly. Her giggles filled his ears, he could hear nothing. It’s like years of his prayers have reached the god and he had granted him his wish without any second thought. His dream girl was now right in front of his eyes, walking towards him.

Hello everyone...!

Am here, this time with Namratha. In this poem she describes how the evening is felt in her world. Knowing about her would make feeling this poem easier.
Namratha is full of life, fun loving and ofcourse youthful lass. There are this kind of people around us, whose mood is never influenced by the happenings around them. They will always be happy and cheerful even if you wake them up in the middle of night and ask them to join you in your celebration. Namratha is one of such a kind. I often say to her that the the character Shradda played in 'Ek Villain', is influenced by her personality and I mean it. If you have met her in person, then am sure you would also agree with me. So if you have not met her personally, I suggest go and watch 'Ek Villain', you will get a lot of Namratha there...!
Enjoy the read as the poetess makes her debut in our blog with this splendid poem.

Evening.

Soft falls the evening ambience of slow
Lingering shadows hiding from the ever
Increasing darkness. Softly, softly night
Arrives casting its embracing arms in comfort

Daylight slides gracefully away allowing darkness
To cast it spell of nighttime thoughts around us
We sight as the night pushes gracefully into every
Crevasse
The ground we stand upon loses focus

Evenings passing is as always a quiet time of melancholy
Memories of long ago invade our minds until night times
Dark shroud allows memories to fade gently away, burning
Into phosphorus as easily as the slowly evening light dying..

Episode 2

“My heart’s stereo, it beats for you so listen close....” his mobile ringtone startled Sandesh and brought him back to his senses. As soon as he received the call, yelling voice on the other end tore his ear drum off.
“Sandy!! I need your help bro…” screamed Pradeep, Sandesh’s team-mate and also his best buddy.
“Ah!! Now what, idiot?!”
“Bro, I’ve told you about my girlfriend, Anitha, right?”
“A..ni..tha... That short girl?” Sandesh was always confused about Pradeep’s girlfriend’s name as it kept changing twice in a month. Today Anitha, tomorrow Sunitha, later Sarita.... Pradeep kept himself busy flirting with varieties of girls. So, it was hard to keep a track of their names.
“Nah!! That slim and cute one. She sits right in front of our chamber, remember?”
“Whichever! What’s with her now?”
“It’s raining today right?”
“Yeah”
“Well, this girl has a habit of shopping in rain. This time, she wants me to accompany her...”
“So, you won’t be coming to office today, huh? And why are you telling this to me?”
“Ah! Well, I’m supposed to take an interview for the software maintenance department at 12:30. And as I’ve said I won’t be coming to office today...”
“DUDE!! Have you gone mad!? You want to skip that interview thing just for the sake of your PART-TIME lover?” Sandesh had seen Pradeep doing many more stupid things. But, this was beyond the limits. He thought Pradeep is going crazy day by day. I mean, if you’re an orphan, if other people neglects your minor mistakes just because of that reason, it doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want and expect them to excuse that too. You can’t take people for granted just like that.
“Please bro... Just try to understand my situation here. I’m damn sure this girl’s my soul mate. I’m so much in love with her. I’ll stick to her, I promise...”
“Hahha!! You say that to every girl. But, I’m sorry. It won’t work with me”
“I swear Sandy!! Trust me, please”
“Why aren’t you getting my point man? Ashutosh sir is already mad at you. If you keep on being irresponsible, doing all these things he won’t even hesitate to fire you. Besides, we both know how long you’ll stick to her”
“I know man. Just this last time. And I’ve already informed Ashutosh sir that I caught fever yesterday night and am unable to walk...”
“So, you lied to him”
“Please bro. Don’t tell him that I lied. He’ll kill me, please please please please”
“Okay, okay!! So, what am I supposed to do here?”
“It’s simple man! Just take that interview on behalf of me. I’ve talked to sir that you’ll do it...”
“Bloody rogue!! You know how busy I’m with that new project, right? How can I...”
“Please Sandy, I beg you. This will be the last time I’ll ever ask for your help. I’ll get you a beer this weekend”
“Dude, you owe me lot more things than just a beer. And I know your ‘just this once’ dialogue will never ever die”
“I know man. I owe you everything”
Sandesh waited thinking there will be many more sentimental dialogues from Pradeep. As he chose to remain silent instead, Sandesh spoke up letting out a sigh, “Forget it. I’ll let you know about the interview as soon as I’m done with all my work”
“Thank you, bro!!”
“Chal, bye. Enjoy the day” and then Sandesh hung up.
He was now standing alone in that bus stop. Everyone else had already left along with the girl who made his heart to skip a beat or two. Another bus arrived after few minutes which took him to his office. All the way to his office, he couldn’t see anything else. Her face was all he could see even with his eyes wide open, even though she wasn’t in front him.
                                           *   *   *   *
This new project Sandesh was working with from past few months had him completely involved until Ashutosh; his team leader reminded him of the interview.
“That idiot will never change! And he lied to me that he’s ill”
Sandesh remained silent. And he was surprised that Ashutosh had learned that Pradeep was lying.
“Leave it aside. Are you prepared to take that interview Sandesh? It’s not for our department you know”
“Yes sir. I’m prepared”
“This Pradeep always drags everyone into trouble along with him. What was the need for him to take interview for that maintenance department? Leave it!! He wants to work, he wants to learn, fine!! Why the hell does he agree to a work which he can’t complete?”
“How would I know? And why the hell are you yelling in front of me?” Sandesh thought to himself. Thank god, others can’t hear our thoughts!! Or else there would’ve been uncountable world wars repeatedly digging the human souls.
“Just don’t disclose this matter to anyone. There’re already enough and more threats to his job. Keep it steady and smooth. Go, get ready. It’s already 12:00pm.”
Sandesh left his desk and prepared the chamber where he has to take the interview. He made sure that everything’s in order and settled down on his chair. He looked at his watch;
12:25.

Interview began right on time. They had called for eight candidates to attend the interview out of which Sandesh had to select only four who all will be further filtered to best two. He went across them one by one. Sandesh was relieved as the interview went in a quicker pace than he had imagined. He could make out whom to select within seconds after they enter the chamber. All thanks to colleges that teach students how to score good marks than teaching how to think like a real engineer. Those who learnt it on their own or with other help, had successfully got their name in the selected candidate’s list; three of them so far. One last candidate and Sandesh is done for the day. He went through the name list to check the name of that candidate. It sounded feminine. He was thinking about his project. He had very little time to finish it. Then, a melodious voice at the door pulled him back from his dream land.
“May I come in, sir?”
As he lifted his gaze to greet in the candidate, he felt somebody had taken his ability to speak away from him. His mouth was wide open in astonishment.  It’s her!! The bus stop beauty!! Right at his chamber door, asking for his permission to enter.
“May I come in, sir?” this time a bit louder. It got passed through his thick skull and his soul was back inside his body after its imaginary duet.
“Please come in” he replied with a fixed smile, trying to control his emotions. She held a pink file in her right hand. Her dress was dry by then. She looked even more beautiful now.
“Please take a seat” he offered her as he took her file. He went through her documents.
“So, Ms.Adhya Shetty, right?” he asked her looking directly into her eyes.
“Yes, sir” she replied gently.
He turned his gaze back to her file.
“PU at St.Aloshious; Mangalore, engineering in CS at JC; Mysore. I see, you’ve maintained steady academic reports as well. Impressive!!”
“Thank you, sir. All credit goes to my parents” she replied, slightly backing off.
“Well, in spite of these reports, I’ve a doubt”
Slowly smile on her face started to evade. She wasn’t backing off, she was afraid!! Yes, she was afraid. It was her interview.
“Even though you’ve such impressive CV, why didn’t you get selected in campus recruitment?”
“My parents didn’t want me working then. And, even I was a bit nervous about these interviews. So, I took my time to convince my parents and also to fight my fear. And once I had done with that, I thought it’s time for me to start pushing my potentials”
“Hmmm. It does happen in the beginning. So, you’re a fresher, what do you expect from this job?”
“Nothing much. I want to gain some experience from this job and also be a part of one of the successful software company”
She doesn’t talk much, he thought to himself. Or is she nervous as this is her first time? “Yes!! She’s nervous” he was sure now. It was visible clearly on her face. Small droplets of sweat were forming on her forehead. It wasn’t due to heat. It rained well in the morning and the weather is still chilly. Also, they were inside an air conditioned chamber.
“Okay then. I’m gonna ask some work related questions. Don’t panic. Just clear your mind and answer. Here, drink some water” he passed on a glass of water to her. She thanked him and drank it completely in a single gulp. Sandesh was laughing inside.
“Don’t worry. They’re all easy. Just relax a bit” he was going easy on her, trying to make her feel comfortable. She closed her eyes and started taking deep breaths. He looked closely at her face. She had started to trust his words, revealing the real ‘her’ to him. Fragrance of her sweat filled the room. He was going crazy. “Man!! She’s beautiful!!” he thought to himself. He had fallen for her. He knew it now.
She slowly opened her eyes and said, “I’m ready”. She sounded relaxed and confident.
“Good” he smiled at her, closed her file, leaned back to his chair. His face displayed no expression now. He was looking directly into her eyes. Yes! It’s duty time!!
He asked her a couple of questions related to the work. She was a bit nervous in the beginning. But, then she handled it. Her answers were satisfying.

“Okay, Ms.Adhya. This concludes the first phase of our recruitment process. You’ll be hearing from us soon. You may leave now” he returned her file and kept staring at her with the same old fixed smile. She took her file, rose from her seat, shook his hand and left the chamber. There was a naughty smile on her face as she left, which Sandesh didn’t notice. He was on his feet as he shook hands with her. He fell back to his seat, smiled recalling that moment, took a deep look at his hand that had experienced the touch of her gentle skin and kissed it!! Then he was lost in his dreamland with never ending duets.
